Kenny's commitment to enhancing public safety is unwavering. His priority is to ensure an adequate number of first responders, including police and fire personnel, by conducting consistent compensation market analysis and adjustments. Kenny has demonstrated success by implementing programs like Data Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS), which reduced crime and traffic congestion, and will continue to support data driven programs for Gilbert. He will support advancements in technology for our public safety departments to equip them with the latest tools. Collaboration between Public Safety and Traffic Engineering will be fostered to address traffic congestion effectively. Additionally, transparency will be upheld by Kenny, proactively sharing relevant information with the public while safeguarding case integrity to maintain community trust. Together, with Kenny's leadership, Gilbert will become a safer and thriving city.
Small Business
Kenny is committed to fostering small business opportunities for our community's growth and prosperity. With firsthand experience as a former small business owner, Kenny understands the importance of a strong connection between the Town and the business community. He recognizes the need for efficient processes and overall balance, where businesses of all sizes can thrive and will continue working to ensure diverse business opportunities are available. With Kenny's leadership, Gilbert will remain a vibrant hub for entrepreneurship and economic development, empowering small businesses to flourish.
Sustainable Infrastructure
Kenny is dedicated to promoting sustainable infrastructure for our long-term prosperity. With firsthand experience of the community's rapid growth during the 1990s and 2000s, Kenny understands the importance of maintaining and upgrading our infrastructure. As our roads and underground pipes age, he prioritizes allocating funds for replacements while focusing on preserving existing infrastructure. Steadfastly adhering to maintenance best practices, including measures like crack seal and regular storm drain maintenance, significantly extends the lifespan of roadways, avoiding costly and time-consuming replacements. Kenny will prioritize funding, leverage technology, and exercise due diligence in maintenance to ensure sustainable infrastructure. By being financially responsible, he will prioritize extending the lifespan of our infrastructure where possible, replace what cannot be salvaged, and prevent any infrastructure-related crises. With Kenny's leadership, Gilbert will continue to thrive sustainably for generations to come.
